Stories
Stories from people and families who have found hope, community, and a place to grow at Calvary.
When we first came to Calvary, our marriage was struggling and life felt heavy. We had been talking about getting back into church, hoping maybe it could help bring healing to our relationship and family. One afternoon, while taking our daughter to the park, God completely interrupted our plans.
We ended up at a park we never normally visited, where we met another family whose daughter had the same name as ours. That simple conversation led to meeting someone from Calvary who invited us to church and shared about a kindness outreach happening in the community. Sitting in the car afterward, we both cried because it truly felt like God was answering the questions we had been carrying for so long. For the first time, we could genuinely feel Him working in our lives.
The following Sunday, we were nervous and unsure about attending. But on the drive there, God kept confirming we were making the right decision. By the time we walked through the doors of Calvary, we already knew this was where we were meant to be.
From the very first moment, we were welcomed like family. Since then, our lives have completely changed. We both gave our lives to Jesus and were baptized, and our daughter already talks about the day she wants to be baptized too. Even our extended family has started coming to church.
This past year has still had challenges, but we honestly don't know where we would be without God and the people at Calvary beside us. We found hope, community, and a relationship with Jesus that changed everything for our family.
If you've been thinking about coming to church, take the step. You may not walk in with all the answers, but you'll experience something real... and it just might change your life the way it changed ours.
I'm so thankful to have a place for my kids to come and learn. The world seems to be full of confusion sometimes, so having a place where my kids are excited to go and learn is a huge blessing!
The worship, care, and pastors are top-notch. There's something for all ages.
